Career Resources — Marketing and Advertising

Industry Overview

At its core, the marketing and advertising industry communicates the unique and need-fulfilling value of a good or service to a consumer through a specific channel.  It involves moving goods and services from concept to customer which includes the coordination of the 4 P’s:  product, price, place and promotional strategy.

Notre Dame students who wish to enter the field of marketing typically pursue careers in sales, brand management, corporate marketing, market research, retail merchandising, retail management and account management, to name a few.  The explosion of digital media has created another whole field of marketing goods and services.  View where ND graduates have accepted jobs in the marketing and advertising industries via our Future Plans report and where students participated in internships via our Summer Experience report.
