Adding a Map Tour

  • Add > Map Tour > Start from Scratch > for this demo, we will use the Guided Map-Focused layout > Save

  • If you need to change to a different layout later, you can click the Options button at the lower-left of the Map Tour module.

Adding Map Tour Content

  • By default, the map tour module will load a blank first slide for you. For each map tour slide, you can include an image or video, a title, a description, and a location point on the map.

  • At the bottom of the slide's text box where you entered a description, click the Add Location button
  • In the upper-right corner, type or paste in a location to search—you can type in a place's name or latitude/longitude
  • The map will zoom into a location matching your coordinates and then display a pop-up box > on that pop-up box, click the Add to map button > Save
  • To add a second slide and location, click the green plus sign button in the lower right-hand corner of the Map Tour module

Customizing the Map Tour Map

  • Click the Edit button in the top center of the map

  • Using the "Options" menu on the left-hand side, you can tweak the location point colors, show progress lines from location to location and choose a different basemap.
