Architecture - Overview

Print and E-Reserves

Architecture students have both print and electronic course reserves. Print reserves are found next to the front desk and circulate for two hours. Courses are organized by course number and instructor or studio (i.e. 20211 2nd Year Studio, 43201 Cusato).

Finding Print Reserves (books):

If you search the catalog and an item is listed as "architecture course reserves" in the library catalog you still need to find out what shelf it is on in the course reserve room.

  1. Click on Architecture Print Reserves
  2. Select the search field you want to use and enter the terms
    1. Example: select 'keyword anywhere' type in Palladio and click 'Go'
  3. The results will tell you the name of the Instructor and the Course Number

You can also use the feature to see what books your instructor has on reserve.

  1. Click on Architecture Print Reserves
  2. Select 'Instructor Name Last/First', enter the name, and click 'Go"
  3. Select the appropriate course from the list returned.

Finding Electronic Reserves (articles/chapters):

E-reserves are only available to those registered in the course. Click on Course Reserves. If you are registered in a class that has e-reserves those classes will appear. You are able to download and save the articles and book chapters from that page.

If you have any questions or problems accessing print or electronic reserves please contact Theron Patrick.
