Payton Phillips Quintanilla works within the Libraries and across campus to foster the development and use of specialized and general collections within the fields of Latin American, Iberian, and Latinx Studies (the latter in collaboration with Rachel Bohlmann, American History Librarian and Curator of North Americana). She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures and an M.A. in Spanish from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); a Master of Professional Writing from the University of Southern California (USC); a B.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College; and is currently earning a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San José State University.
