The Journal of Music

JMI: The Journal of Music in Ireland was founded in 2000 by Toner Quinn, and recently made a transition to an online-only publication, The Journal of Music.  It features articles, reviews and news on all kinds of musical events, people, publications and recordings.

Treoir

The magazine of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.  Bound editions of Treoir are in the Hesburgh Library at ML5 .T79.  A selection of articles and musical scores are available in digital scans on the website of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

Amhráin Árann - Aran Songs:

Winner of the "Best [bilingual] Blog in the Irish Language" award for 2013, Deirdre Ní Chonghaile seeks to publish an edition of songs composed in Aran, and ultimately to "enable the people of Aran to create easy access to these endangered songs, to preserve them, and to present them to communities beyond Aran".

Donegal Fiddle Music: The Home of Cairdeas na bhFidiléirí

Website of Cairdeas na bhFidiléirí, an organization of Donegal fiddle players.  It includes information on musicians and recordings and a set of online video fiddle lessons.

NPU: Na Píobairí Uilleann

Website of Na Píobairí Uilleann (the Uilleann Pipers) which includes information on the instrument as well as the music.

Comhaltas

The website of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the major organization promoting Irish traditional music.

TG 4 (Irish language television)

The Rolling Wave - program on RTÉ Radio 1.

Traditional music is often played on the Irish Language radio station, Raidio na Gaeltachta.
