Literature in the Irish Language

A guide to Irish language literature in the Hesburgh Libraries, and to resources for the study of Irish literature and the Irish language.

Irish Reading Shelves

The Irish Reading Shelves are in the "Fishbowl", the social reading area near the west door of the library. Other languages (Japanese and Korean) are shelved in the same area.

Here you will find Asterix books, easy-to-read novels, graphic novels, children's books and translated books.

Books for Children

Stories, verse, songs and folklore written and illustrated for children are often a pleasant and easy way to practice reading a new language. The following books are in the Hesburgh Library:
