After creating the digital facsimiles of the Vindication of the Rights of Men (VRM) and A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (VRW), these facsimiles were used to generate OCR text files of each edition. These text files are the basis upon which Eileen M. Hunt and Nancy E. Johnson are developing critical editions of VRM and VRW. Included also is an OCR text file of "Hints," Wollstonecraft's manuscript notes for a never-completed second volume of A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, published in Wollstonecraft, Posthumous Works, ed. William Godwin (London: Joseph Johnson, 1798), Vol. 4, pp. 177-95.
The OCR-generated text files are in the form of searchable PDF files and were created by Amanda Gulley, Media Digitization Specialist in coordination with Eileen M. Hunt and Nancy E. Johnson.
