Hertziana Collaborative: Archive of Architectural Drawings

Biblioteca di Storia di Arte e Archeologia (BIASA): Collection of architectural drawings and prints scanned in collaboration with Stanford. 

Archivio di Stato di Roma: Archive of Architectural drawings, rare books, and even via Monterone plan from the 16th century

Libraries in Rome

Libraries in Rome tend to be closed stacks, in-house use only. Many require to have visits pre-arranged and/or credentials to access. Most, with the exception of the American Schools, are primarily Italian collections with limited access to English materials. 

Library of the American Academy in Rome - Located at the American Academy, access is granted by appointment only. Please visit the AAR Library website for visitation information and policies.
