Irish Language and Literature

Books and Journals

Find books by using the library catalog. Irish language and literature (classified PB) may be found on the eighth floor, while many Irish language books are also in the folklore (GR) section in the lower level. Others, which may be read in the reading room, are in the Rare Books and Special Collections. There is also an 'easy-to-read' collection in the first floor 'Fishbowl' area.

Irish literature in periodicals may be online. Comhar, for example, is a monthly magazine covering language, literature and political and social affairs, in Irish. Recent issues are in the 'Current Periodicals' shelves at  PB 1201 .C5. Older issues are bound and shelved on the eighth floor, digitized copies are on JSTOR.
