Center for Social Concerns. The CSC offers community-based research courses (CBR) each semester. CBR approaches often utilize qualitative research methods, such as focus groups, interviews, and photovoice, to name a few.
The CSSR offers expertise in research design, data collection, modeling and analysis, GIS analysis, and visualization. Researchers planning to utilize qualitative research approaches are encouraged to contact CSSR staff in the planning phase of their project for assistance with protocol design, and data management and analysis planning.
Experts at the Kaneb Center can assist instructors interested in developing assignments incorporating qualitative research methods.
The CDS offers expertise in Research Data Services, Digital Humanities, Digitization and Metadata, GIS, and Text Mining and Analysis. CDS staff can be of particular assistance to qualitative researchers seeking to analyze textual data. In addition, the CDS Research Data Services Team is a cross-disciplinary team that can assist with questions about data management planning, preservation, and sharing (in discipline-specific repositories, or in Notre Dame's own repository, CurateND).
The CDS offers technology and technology-enriched spaces that may be of use in qualitative research studies, such as access to Atlas.ti software, loanable voice recorders, a portable "UX kit," a portable transcription station, and a lecture-capture classroom.
NDR offers support for scholarship at any stage in the research lifecycle. One area of particular relevance for researchers conducting qualitative investigations will be human subjects research ethics. NDR supports campus scholars seeking and fulfilling grant-funded research.
